MANHUNT MAN OF THE WEEK:

MYDIRTYALTEREGO
From:  Manhunt Daily
This week’s Manhunt Man of The Week is Travis. He lives in West Hollywood, quite possibly the gayest city in America, but travels a lot for work. He’s had quite a life! This self-described “international slut” won a Manhunt-sponsored hot ass contest in Las Vegas and got cruised on a Greek isle by someone he already knew a little too well.

He hasn't lost his Alabama drawl, but if you tend to assume that Southern guys are all slow talkers then you’ll be in for a big surprise when you meet Travis. You can find him on Manhunt under the name MyDirtyAlterEgo, but first, get to know him a bit with our interview below.

West Hollywood, California
seeing where this leads..
Here for some fun.

Travis! Tell me about yourself. Your Manhunt profile doesn't provide a lot of info…

I’m from Alabama originally. I lived in Savannah and Atlanta, and then I moved out to LA for work. I was the regional educator for a hair product company. I thought I’d move out here and be a print model and be pretty! That was nine years ago. I fell in love with LA, the weather’s great and the boys are pretty. I recently got an MA in psychology, and I’m starting my own business as a life coach, marriage and family therapist.

I’ve heard a lot about West Hollywood. What’s it like living somewhere so… gay?

I live in Center City, which is actually a new name that they’re calling the neighborhood, but basically it’s where the Sunset Strip starts. It’s very gay here, the city emblem’s got a rainbow on it and everything. There’s a huge amount of gay bars and gay-owned restaurants. Some of my friends try to avoid the scene, you know, but the great thing about LA is that there are all different areas for every mood. And you can meet somebody new every day. Coming from the south there’s something to be said about not having to worry about walking down your street.

You seem so outgoing, and living in a big city I’m actually surprised you’d need to go online to meet guys.

Oh God, I feel like I’ve been using Manhunt since it came out. I’ve been in LA for nine years and I was in Atlanta before that when I first signed up. Back then, I was still coming to grips with my sexuality, and Manhunt was a way to be fun and honest. You could talk to people, find what you’re looking for.

It’s also a really fun way to meet people when I travel. I used to travel for work, and every time I went to a new city right away, I’d find out where to go. And I could find people with similar interests, and we’d have coffee, dinner, a drink, or just hot wild sex.

Any favorite stories?

I’ve got so many stories. I like to say I’m not a whore, I’m just quite popular. I’m trying to think of a specific story. I used Manhunt the first time I hooked up with somebody that wanted to wear a mask. He was extremely attractive and had a really great body. He wanted a hot three-way and so I invited a friend over. That was fun. I also met a guy from Australia—there’s a whole couple of months every year where hot Australians show up in LA—we went to Universal Studios together and now I’ve got a really good friend in Sydney if I ever go there.

Yeah, I’ve used Manhunt in Puerta Vallarta, definitely in New York it’s been a lot of fun. I’ve been invited to a lot of fun parties that I wouldn’t have known about otherwise. I used it in Turks & Caicos and Greece. Oh! Two of my best friends and I were in Mykonos, and my godfather hit me up on Manhunt. I knew he was gay, but I had no idea that he owned a house in Greece. I’ve got friends around the world because of Manhunt. I guess I’m kind of an international slut.

So, uh… What do you get into?

I’m very outspoken and outgoing, so I like to be in charge. That’s one place where my personality and my sexual preferences merge. I’m also very oral. As you can probably tell, I enjoy using my mouth.

I didn’t have anybody tell me much about gay sex, so I learned a lot from porn. Which is different in LA, where your neighbors actually are porn stars. It becomes less taboo to look into things. You know, I was dating a guy who was really into a lot of leather, so I went to Folsom, and it wasn’t really my scene, but I like seeing so many people expressing themselves without apology.

I’ve tried blindfolds and restraints. I tend to like 1-on-1, although groups can be fun. I just experienced my first big group event at Folsom. There was a dungeon. It was kind of an evolutionary process. Porn can really be an educational tool for what you might want to try. I really like outdoor sex and the experience of not being restricted. Just don’t get yourself arrested jerking off in the park.

I take it you’re single…

I’ve been single for almost six months. I took the time I needed to move on, and I’m open-minded to dating again, but also enjoying the single life in West Hollywood. Still, if my knight in shining armor is out there, I don’t want to miss him! It’s getting cold outside, after all.

I’m pretty independent. I own my own place, I think I’ve got a good head on my shoulders. I’d love to meet somebody who’s more positive in life, that could really bring something to the table. I think people who are more focused on themselves and have a good attitude tend to be the most attractive. Somebody who brings a lot of passion to the table, that’s going to bring some positive change to the world.

Speaking of positive changes, tell me a little bit about your life coaching work.

I’ve been working at the LA Gay and Lesbian Center, and right now, I’m trying to get a business started and trying to get to know people. I help people with social skills and being more positive. I’ve worked with very gay-specific clients who have a lot of anxiety about their self-identity. Sex is something I’m very interested in, and people not being ashamed of what they like. With gay sex, there are so many different views about fetishes. People need to determine what’s okay for them and not have bad feelings about it. If you want to have sex outside, do it. Just don’t do it anywhere that people are going to see you.

I focus on the present moment. Where do you want the future to go and what do you want tomorrow to look like? It’s okay to have a past. We all have a past, but what can you do today to make tomorrow different? So many people are living in the past or living too far in the future. I’m about living the life you want to live, and people kind of realizing that they have the power to do whatever they want.

Sounds great. Any final words?

My advice: If you’re interested in something, try it once. If you’re not sure after that, try it again. There’s no reason to count your partners. Just have fun.
