Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Sting, Cyndi Lauper, Miley Cyrus, Whoopi Goldberg Amy Schumer and Laverne Cox are among the bold-faced names who have signed onto a letter urging Texas legislators to abandon their anti-transgender bathroom bill. Yet as was the case during Houston's much-needed Proposition 1 -- the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance (HERO), which guaranteed equality based on sexual orientation and gender identity in employment, housing and services, something neither U.S. nor Texas state law protect -- Houston native and LGBT icon Beyoncé has said nothing. We could really use the help of someone of her stature -- and a native Texas-- to fight this fear mongering. What's up with that?
