“Ex-Gay” Gospel Star Dating Female Singer: “I Have Experienced God’s Power To Change My Lifestyle”

Donnie McClurkin says the only reason he had same-sex attractions was because of being molested by his uncle as a young boy.

A Grammy-award winning minister who claims he was cured of the “curse” of homosexuality is now in a serious relationship with a female gospel singer.

Donnie McClurkin revealed he was dating Nicole C. Mullen after claiming that the only thing missing in his life “is that wife that would make man whole, that element that brings favor to man.”

McClurkin came out as “cured” of his past life as a homosexual just 15 years earlier, writing that his same-sex attractions only existed because he was raped by his uncle as a child.

“I was not born with these sexual tendencies. It wasn’t chromosomal and had nothing to do with my DNA,” he said. “These tendencies surfaced because a broken man thrust an 8-year-old boy into this whirlwind. Thus, my first sexual relationship was with a man. Before I could ever know the purpose or pleasure of a woman, have my first date or even my first kiss, the wound was inflicted, and the seed was planted.”

The 56-year-old said he was only able to change through the power of God and prayer, as well as through the help of women in his church who told him to sing lower and keep his hands at his side in order to appear more masculine.

When McClurkin wrote his initial post, he acknowledged that some may resent his comments because they have no desire to change their lifestyles, but he wanted to speak for those longing to be “freed from it.”

“For them, I write this without apology, knowing that I’ve been through this and have experienced God’s power to change my lifestyle,” he said. “I believed that I was meant to be a whole man, made for one woman, and God brought it all about. I am delivered, and I know God can deliver others too.”
