A month or two back, a reader commented on this post, wondering what John Pruitt looked like these days. For those of you living under a rock, John Pruitt, whose real name is James Yount, was a porn titan at Colt Studios back in the 80s. He was a kickass bodybuilder and almost the perfect man. In the intervening years, John/James has pretty much fallen off the radar.
In the mid-80s, before he was Colt’s John Pruitt, James Yount starred in mult-part exercise tapes called “Building the Body Beautiful.” We can’t seem to find any copies online, but if anyone was looking to get me a holiday gift, that would be the place to start!
As you might expect, John has aged a little bit in the 25ish years since his porn heyday, but he’s still as big a power player as he ever was. Our research indicates that he’s become a business executive and is currently a senior director at an investment firm. Not a bad gig, eh?Here’s one of the only pics we can find of John today. John was no twink back in his prime, so we’re not surprised to find that he’s grown quite long in the tooth. Still though, for a man his age, Pruitt/Yount looks pretty good. Check it out:
Plus, we have to imagine that a porn-star-turned-power-businessman is probably rolling in the dough.
It turns out that John Pruitt has always been a star athlete, even before he was a bodybuilder. He was a college-level swimmer at Drury University. Not too shabby, eh?
