Remember These Foods of the Seventies???

Apple Beer was made by the Fairmount company out of Nebraska. It was great, it had a wonderful apple cider taste but richly carbonated, much like Martinelli's sparkling cider today, but with more carbonation and flavor.

Apple Beer is a non-alcoholic American variant of the German drink fassbrause, produced by The Apple Beer Corporation in Salt Lake City. The beverage is made with pure cane sugar. Apple Beer is primarily distributed to the Western and Mountain regions of the United States and in the Caribbean.

Apple Beer was first produced in the 1960s from the fassbrause formula of Scholvien & Co. (now WILD Flavors). Although originally only available in cans, Apple Beer is now also available in glass bottles and in soda fountains.

The ingredient list from the bottle label: Purified carbonated water, pure cane sugar, citric acid, natural flavors, vitamin C.

An inquiry to the company contact email elicited the following response: In our all natural flavors, we use the "essence" from the peel of the apple as our apple flavor, not the juice.
