It’s Stanley Cup time, and we've got hockey fever!
The NHL has been at the forefront of inclusiveness: Every team in the league has a member involved with You Can Play, the nonprofit dedicated to battling homophobia in organized athletics. “”The official policy of the NHL is one of inclusion on the ice, in our locker rooms and in the stands.” said NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman last year.
Pro hockey players like Sean Avery have stood up for marriage equality and others, like the Edmonton Oilers’ Andrew Ference have participated in their local Pride celebration.
And it doesn't hurt that so many pro ice hockey players are easy on the eyes—even after taking a puck to the face. Some, like Henrik Lundqvist, have made big bank as models.
So, we sing the praises of 8 gorgeous NHL hockey players.
