"When a person opens the door, he will come into view purse first."From: NewNowNext
One of Bob the Drag Queen’s youngest super fans is walking into Halloween purse first this year, and getting his life sporting a flawless Bob costume.
Nine-year-old C.J. told his mom, Raising My Rainbow blog author Lori Duron, that he wanted to dress up as his RuPaul’s Drag Race hero this year, so she enlisted the help of her brother to recreate the look from her debut music video.
“Bob, RuPaul and all the queens are brave, strong heroes for my rainbow son,” Lori wrote. “They’ve taught him to celebrate his uniqueness, cultivate his own style and let criticisms roll off his back. They’ve taught him the importance and power of loving himself.”
Lori described in a blog post how Guncle Michael traveled from West Hollywood for a Drag 101 course, where he taught C.J. and Lori how to style C.J.’s wig and makeup for Halloween night.
Lori said that C.J. has decided not to tell his friends what his costume is before the big day because he “doesn’t want them to steal his awesome idea,” and he’s so dedicated to the gig that he’s even planned for a major reveal at each house he’ll be hitting up for treats.
“C.J. has since perfected his 2016 trick-or-treating technique,” Lori wrote. “He will approach a house. Ring the doorbell and stand to the side. When a person opens the door, he will come into view purse first.”
Now go out there and make them eat it, C.J.!
