Fresh View: Micah by MichaelR09
From: Favorite Hunks & Other Things
'As an amateur photographer and frequent traveler, I like to use pictures to tell stories of the places I go and people I meet.'
One of the reasons we travel is to experience difference. Different places and experiences, different tastes, smells and views. One of my goals with FH is to take readers on a visual journey, tagging along with artists as they see, experience and capture models and images not necessarily seen on other pages and sites. When I first contacted Atlanta photographer MichaelR09, it wasn't about featuring his images of Micah, I hadn't seen them yet. The image I had seen was really great shot in his port of a hot, hunky and naked model with a unique and mysterious arm pose.
Michael responded with support for my featuring his work, and sent me on his DeviantArt link to check out more of his imagery. After a quick glance through Michael's portfolio, it was his images of Micah that grabbed my attention and had me wanting to see more. I loved Micah's look, especially how all of his unique features blend together to create such a visually fascinating and beautiful package.
His his lean sexy body and his Pebbles Flintstone pony tail. I also love the glasses, and especially the beautifully expressive, and sometimes sad, eyes behind them. Most of you know I love windows within imagery, and I was captivated with how Micah was looking out, and his relationship to what was on the side of the glass. There was a story there, and Michael's images had me wanting to explore further.
Michael shares that 21 year old Michael didn't have much modeling experience, so he provided very specific direction during the shooting process. Although Micah was pretty quiet, he also demonstrated a self- assurance and adapted to the shoot, and Michael's direction well, and really seemed to enjoy it once it got started. Micah clearly had a bit of an exhibitionist streak, and Michael reports he was hard pretty much as soon as the shoot started and he got undressed. Michael tried not to have Micah's erection be the focal point and says that he tried to keep his images on the artistic side of the art/porn divide.
'Micah's's a country boy who recently relocated to a big city, which can sometimes bring on strong feelings of isolation. When offering direction, I was thinking about the loneliness he might have been experiencing.'
Michael's direction was clearly on point as you can feel what Micah must be experiencing as he looks out of that window. Alone in a brand new apartment, looking out at a big new city, thinking of both the possibilities it has to offer, as well as the uncertainty that awaits. Micah's story of his new life in the city is yet to be written, but I loved the first chapter that Michael so beautifully captured.
'I would say that aside from good light, the most important thing for me is good communication. If there's some understanding between photographer and subject, the chances are a lot higher that you'll get something good. I enjoy the process as much as the finished product, so I look for models who also enjoy it. I posed a couple of times myself and it helps to understand how it feels to be naked in front the camera. I like using different settings as opposed to a boring studio backdrop, so sometimes the location can add some drama.'
Andrew Garfield Surprises “Drag Race” Queens With Fierce Whitney Houston Lip Sync
He proved he was "every woman."

There are always surprises when it comes to a drag show, but an Oscar nominated actor taking the stage is usually not one of them.
The latest stop on the Werq the World tour featured queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race and was hosted by everyone’s best squirrel friend, Michelle Visage, but it also had a surprise guest—Andrew Garfield.
What a babe. #AndrewGarfield pic.twitter.com/GcroCz2f2s— Michael (@mj_hewitt) May 30, 2017
When it came to the “Wig in a Box” segment of the London show, Garfield came onstage and did a surprise performance to Whitney Houston’s classic “I’m Every woman.” The actor lip-synced for his life and even did a back flip resulting in Visage to yell “Oh my, God!”
No but seriously #AndrewGarfield as #Whitney. Thanks @michellevisage. #WerqTheWorld pic.twitter.com/G6J4Vzzlwu— Michael (@mj_hewitt) May 30, 2017
Garfield is currently in the National Theatre production of Angels in America and was at the Werq the World show with his co-stars Nathan Stewart-Jarrett and Russell Tovey.
The Drag Race queens performing on the tour include past and current competitors Kim Chi, Violet Chachki, Detox, Shea Coulee, Shangela and Sasha Velour.
#WerqTheWorld was SO MUCH FUN at Troxy tonight. Thanks, @VossEvents. #RuPaulsDragRace pic.twitter.com/Hv9nW9Mysp— Michael (@mj_hewitt) May 30, 2017

“What a show, what a night! Thank you as always. YOU ARE MY HEART AND SOUL. Andrew Garfield, you are my new friend,” Visage wrote on Instagram after the show. “I am SO proud of you for not just lip syncing Whitney tonight in a wig no less, but for opening your mind and heart to all it has to offer.”
The Drag Race judge posted a pic of her with Garfield and Orange is the New Black actress Laverne Cox.

Garfield is just the latest actor to wow an audience with a lip sync. Earlier this month Spider-Man actor Tom Holland gave an epic performance to Rihanna’s “Umbrella” on Lip Sync Battle, leaving the audience gagged.
Garfield might not be on Holland’s level but we think we know what RuPaul would say about his lip sync:

GUYS WHO SHOULD DO GAY PORN: NYLE DIMARCO
From: Manhunt Daily
Nyle DiMarco is an actor, top model, and deaf activist who’s won both America’s Next Top Model AND Dancing With The Stars. Two shows that I haven’t watched in a decade, but I so would have if I knew this hot ass was on them. Not only is he striking blows for the deaf community, but THAT CHEST. That hairy chest. I just want to run my fingers (and other things) through the luxurious pec bushes on his chest. He could totally shoot for CockyBoys or Lucas, right? Have we ever had a hot deaf guy shoot scenes? That’s reason enough for him to get into porn. We must break down barriers in every facet of life! (I know, I know, I’m super transparent. I just want to see his cock.)

Olivier Rousteing
The Balmain brand continues to thrive under the creative direction of Paris-based Rousteing, a modern-day Saint Laurent who recently unveiled his fall '17 men's collection, and it is perhaps the only person who can resent his muses, the Katdashian-Wests, as nothing but chic.
Olivier Rousteing (born September 13, 1985 in Bordeaux, France) is a French fashion designer and the creative director of Balmain. Rousteing was adopted by a couple at age 1. Rousteing′s mother is an optician, while his father is a seaport manager. He grew up in Bordeaux and moved to Paris to study at ESMOD (Ecole Supérieure des Arts et Techniques de la Mode). In 2003, Rousteing graduated and began his career as a designer at Roberto Cavalli and went on to become the head of the label's women's division.

Saturday Sport: Champions League and Sydney Crosby
From: Speed o Rex
Cristiano Ronaldo and Soccer. Soccer and Zinedine Zidane. Juventus and Soccer. As sports enters the Summer doldrums almost all of the attention of the sporting world today concentrates on Association Football, commonly known as Soccer in much of the world.
In Wales
The Champions League Final will be contested and the European Cup awarded. Welshman, and Real Madrid phenom Gareth Bale will be right at home this evening, if he returns from the disabled list to be able to play on home soil. He and blog favorite Cristiano Ronaldo will try for his fourth Champions League victory in Real Madrid's match against Italy's Juventus, played at the Principality Stadium, Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom. This time of year, the benefits of an indoor stadium are less obvious, but the climate controlled field will definitely heat up with 90 minutes of championship action.
Real Madrid are aiming for their 12th European Cup, and looking to repeat last year's win, a feat which no team has been able to accomplish. In the historic standings Real Madrid are far ahead of second best, AC Milan, who have 8 European cups. Juventus has lost six European Cup finals, the most of any team. Juventus has also won two, but the last of those was 21 years ago, so they are hungry for a win.
Real Madrid Coach, Frenchman Zinedine Zidane, has been rotating players in and out all season, so the team has learned to be flexible and to harness fresh energy. Juventus is eager, though, and with all of the bravado for which the Italians are known. Tune in with us to watch the Champions League Final this evening!
In Scandinavia
The European Tour Golf continues with the Nordea Masters, today in third-round play at Barsebäck Golf and Country Club in Malmö, Sweden. Open Champion Henrik Stenson is back playing at his home course, and was a strong favorite as play began. “It feels good to be back in Sweden and Barsebäck again. It’s extra fun to play on the golf course that I grew up on and I’m looking forward to the week," Stenson said. “Thanks to all the golf that I’ve played here I know where to place the ball and where not to be and how to adjust myself to the greens and fairways and so on. So it’s an advantage to have played at Barsebäck.”
Going into today's play, Welshman Jamie Donaldson may draw daytime attention briefly away from the Champion's League final, as he leads the field at 8 under par. Second is Roman Renato Paratore, at 6 under par. Third place heading into today's action is shared by three golfers at 5 under par, Frenchman Benjamin Hebert, and Englishmen Graeme Storm and Max Orrin. Denmark claims the only Scandinavian currently in the top ten, Thorbjørn Olesen, who shares sixth place at 4 under par. Stenson is far down in the standings at one under par, but in golf almost anything can happen. Skol!
In the United States
The Pittsburgh Penguins travel to the Nashville Predators for tonight's Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Pittsburgh, captained by blog favorite Sydney Crosby, has won the first two games at home to go ahead on the series, and are leading two games to zero. The series is the best of seven. Fans admit that the Penguins have been outplayed by the Predators in the first two games. The Nashville team has made many more shots than the Quaker Staters, the Penguins have come through with accuracy, though, getting the goals when it counts to win both games.
Nashville fans have been known to throw catfish onto the ice as a show of support for their team. Tonight maybe the Penguins will be distracted, or maybe they will toy with the Predators like a Penguin toys with fish before eating. We'll know they are serious if they make the sign of the Cross and say Grace before the game.

Dewey Defeats Truman
by
Thomas Mallon
1997
I like the description of this novel from its inside flap:
"Thomas Mallon has masterfully appropriated a jubilant legend (and famous headline) of modern American history - Harry Truman's upset victory over Thomas E. Dewey in the 1948 presidential election - and built around it a Midwestern Midsummer Night's Dream. Set in Dewey's hometown of Owosso, Michigan, this is the captivating story of a local love triangle that mirrors the national election contest."
