Favorite Pic Series for July 2, 2008
It was so hot yesterday, I would have loved to have had an outside shower like the one Fredy Navas has below.
Favorite Pic Of The Day for July 2, 2008
From: Favorite Hunks & Other Things
Although many have seen this for sure, this Equinox Fitness ad created a bit of drama for the company. Great ad though IMO! Has so much going for it, besides the skin, it certainly generates a reaction which is what a good ad should do.

Favorite Male Model For July 2, 2008
Johnny Beyer
From: Favorite Hunks & Other Things
From: Favorite Hunks & Other Things
One of my favorite male models is Johnny Beyer. I wrote about Johnny briefly last fall in a series of posts about male models. One of the things I like best about Johnny is how real he comes across. Many male models rarely smile and often look like they in the mist of some sort of bowel discomfort. Johnny has a winning smile and always looks to have great joy for the work he does. This sense of fun comes through in many of his shoots and in turn brings joy to those who see his pictures.
Johnny was discovered while surfing on Huntington Beach in California. He certainly has the surfer look with his lean body and curly blonde hair. It was no wonder he was asked to try his hand at modeling. Johnny quickly began getting work and soon was booked by Bruce Weber to model for the Spring 2001 Abercrombie & Fitch catalog. I am sure many of you recognize some of the pics of Johnny from the catalog.
Many got to see lots of Johnny during his trip down the runway wearing nothing but a surfboard. The pics of Johnny on the runway are some of the most requested pics on modeling forums and sites which celebrate the beauty of the male forum. I would guess they are some of the most downloaded pics on the net!
Johnny has worked steadily since his Abercrombie & Fitch days, and this is an accomplishment due to the tendency in modeling to always be on the lookout for the next big thing. Johnny may not have hit as big as some others, but to work steadily for close to a decade is a testament to his popularity with photographers and fans.
Johnny appeared at the Ed Hardy Swim Fashion Show at the Mercedes-Benz Miami Fashion Week on July 2008, and is up for the campaign for the Ed Hardy swimwear. Good Luck with this Johnny, it would be great to see you shoot another swimsuit layout!
The three pics below are from a recent images editorial Johnny did for Charleston Magazine.
This last pic is one of my favorites of Johnny.
Favorite Canadian Idol Guy: July 2, 2008
From: Favorite Hunks & Other Things
There are a lot of hot guys on Canadian Idol this year. Not sure how many of you are able to watch it but my favorite so far is Theo Tams. Not the best looking, but certainly one of the most magical. Love watching him perform.

Dolly Parton on Hillary Clinton for President: ‘If She Gets It, I’ll Be Behind Her’
From: Taste of Country
Dolly Parton isn’t one to shy away from sharing her opinion — even when the topic is politics. In a chat with the New York Times, the singer explains why she thinks a female president would be “wonderful.”
“Hillary might make as good a president as anybody ever has,” Parton admits.
“I think no matter if it’s Hillary or Donald Trump, we’re gonna be plagued with PMS either way — presidential mood swings!” she jokes. “But I personally think a woman would do a great job. I think Hillary’s very qualified. So if she gets it, I’ll certainly be behind her.”
Other country stars have been vocal about the election, too. Fellow country star Justin Moore recently expressed his support of Donald Trump, while the Dixie Chicks made headlines for defacing the Republican candidate’s picture while on tour.
Parton is currently on her Pure & Simple Tour in support of her album of the same name. The legend is having no problem selling tickets to her biggest U.S. and Canadian tour in over 25 years, likely because so many people look up to her. The singer has a longstanding gay audience, and she admits she’s always flattered by the fans who dress up as her when coming to shows.
“I think it’s fun! You know, we usually have boys all dressed like me, and so when I do ‘Jolene’ and I see a bunch of drag queens out there, I start singing [to the tune of the ‘Jolene’ chorus] ‘drag queen, drag queen, drag queen! Please don’t take my man!'” she says. “I have a huge gay following, and I’m proud of them. Sometimes some of them look more like me than I do.”
Parton’s Pure & Simple Tour continues through November.
Did Frank Ocean Just Announce The Release Date For His New Album?
"Boys Don't Cry" is the highly anticipated followup to Ocean's 2012 debut, "Channel Orange."
From: NewNowNext
Fans of Frank Ocean have been waiting for an eternity for new music from the out hip-hop star, or even word of when new music was coming.
Today, our prayers may have been answered.
On his website, Ocean reposted an old item from July 2015 that suggested his sophomore effort, Boys Don’t Cry, would be released that month and that there were two versions of the album.
Ocean also posted a mockup of a library book slip that had been renewed multiple times, most recently “July 2016.” Is that a confirmation that Boys will hit the streets this month?
Recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, Boys Don’t Cry has been heralded as a “masterpiece” by Chance the Rapper, and “better” than Channel Orange by James Blake.

ChristianMingle.com Can No Longer Ban Gay People
"Trials are never fun, but it’s helpful to know that God is working through them."From: NewNowNext
Gay people have no shortage of dating apps and websites to find true love on—or at least true lust. But ChristianMingle.com, the popular Christian dating site, has offered no same-sex options—until now.
A California judge has ruled that the site violates the state’s civil rights law barring businesses from denying services to LGBT people and has given them three years to comply.
Two gay men first filed suit against the site’s parent company, Sparks, in 2013. This week’s ruling means all of the company’s sites—including CatholicMingle, BlackSingles, and AdventistSinglesConnection—will have to add same-sex options.
Another Sparks site, JDate, caters to Jewish singles and already welcomes gays and lesbians.
Exactly how the company will comply with the order is unclear: After multiple lawsuits over its refusal to accept gay and lesbian profiles, eHarmony started a separate site, CompatiblePartners.com.
At the time, founder Neil Clark Warren stated homosexuality was “a painful way for a lot of people to have to live.”
On Facebook, ChristianMingle.com posted an article with the headline “Why a Test of Faith is Something to be Thankful for.”
The accompanying caption read “Trials are never fun, but it’s helpful to know that God is working through them.”
“Now I see ChristianMingle got sued and lost from the sodomites,” wrote one commenter. “Why don’t you all become nonprofit and tell the sodomites to shove it? They are forcing their beliefs on others.”
Do we really want to be a part of this?
