The Nashville Grizzlies Rugby Team “Bears” All For 2016 Calendar

The gay-inclusive team is gearing up to host the 2016 Bingham Cup.

The muscled men of the Nashville Grizzlies rugby team are stripping down to their towels once again for a calendar to benefit the gay-friendly and all-inclusive club.

The guys serve smoldering stares and serious locker room vibes in first-look images published by Metro Weekly, which also snagged an interview with teammates before they become the first Southern team to host the Bingham Cup tournament in May 2016.

The tournament, named after Mark Bingham, the gay rugby player who died aboard United Airlines Flight 93 on September 11, 2001, attracts gay-inclusive teams from around the globe to compete for a good cause.

“We’re really excited to bring the Bingham Cup to Nashville and show gay and inclusive rugby players from around the world that Nashville is not just a Southern city,” Grizzlies secretary Thomas Hormby told the paper. “It’s accepting and inclusive and will embrace the tournament — and embrace them.”

“I think our calendar is very body-positive,” Hornby added, saying it’s become a popular favorite among locals, LGBT or otherwise, in recent years. “We include people of all different ages, all different builds, all different rugby positions. I think people really appreciate that. I think they find it more relatable if there are more kinds of guys in the calendar. We don’t just look for muscular, cut guys.”

You can purchase the 2016 Grizzlies Calendar, shot by photographer Chris Malone, for $15 on the team’s website.
