An ex-cop is in hot water for leaving more than a tip behind at a NYC gay bar.
Retired NYPD Detective Eric Reynolds was getting his drink on at Phoenix in the East Village when he felt the urge to purge. Once inside the men’s room, he put his Colt .38 revolver on the bathroom sink and bowed to the porcelain god.
Reynolds was such a mess, though, that he stumbled out of the bar without retrieving his gun.
He actually went back into the restroom to get his cellphone, which he also left on the counter, but neglected to grab the firearm. By the time he realized what he’d done and went back for the pistol, it was gone.
“We all make mistakes. Maybe he had been drinking. He made a mistake,” an unnamed staffer told The New York Post. “Maybe he shouldn’t have brought a gun with him.”
Ya think?
