“Chains”
Tina Arena
Tina has had an enormous amount of success in her native Australia, as well as across Europe, but her fame in the U.S. and on the Billboard Hot 100 was very fleeting. “Chains” hit the top ten in in Australia, Canada, and the UK, but it barely scraped into the Top 40 on the Hot 100, stalling at #38 in May 1996. It’s a shame, because it’s a terrific pop song, and Tina has a huge voice.
