After months of wondering whether or not Nick Jonas’ in-the-closet character Nate from DirecTV’s Kingdom would ever get the chance to live out his same-sex desires, fans were disappointed when the big moment finally arrived in a sad and horrific way on last night’s episode.
In the episode, entitled “No Fault,” Jonas’ character is drugged at a party and forced into a threesome. When Nate wakes up in the morning, he feels violated and deeply enraged, which is totally understandable given that what he went through was nothing short of a full-fledged sexual assault.
In response, the Kingdom fandom erupted on Twitter to express their own rage and sadness about the disturbing turn of events.
