BOOK ORGY

Photography by Zak Krevitt
Meanwhile back in Williamsburg, Casey Spooner
keeps the butt tight with ‘New Truth’,
the ultimate Fischerspooner compendium from Damiani.
Fall is the perfect time to snuggle up with a book and a few good friends. That’s why photographer Zak Krevitt initiated this orgy for book lovers and the men who love them. We passed around some of BUTT’s favorite titles old and new, including an unsettling Halloween comic from James Unsworth, Travis Jeppesen’s latest head trip, and Abdellah Taïa’s autobiographical follow-up to ‘Salvation Army’.

Charles gazes at his favorite Pierre et Gilles coffee table book,
while Lucas goes for a double-header of two novellas

Phil, Joe and Ben, left to right,
are among the lucky few invited to this bibliophile’s wet dream…

Simon peruses ‘Dead Boys’, a comic by James Unsworth
whose ‘Ninja Turtle Sex Museum’ is also a must-read.
Both were Risograph printed in London at Ditto.

From his seaside hideaway in Connecticut,
Thomas has become totally engrossed
with ‘An Arab Melancholia’ by Abdellah Taïa.

With his voracious appetite for a good read
Thomas is already onto his second of the afternoon,
the recent reprint of ‘Elements of a Coffee Service’ by Robert Glück.

Tim’s cute butt or ‘Ass & Dick’,
a book of paintings by Ian Faden and Brian Stremick?

Uh-oh… Zach has been corrupted
by ‘Malicious Damage: The Defaced Library Books of
Kenneth Halliwell and Joe Orton’ from Donlon Books.
More nude dudes from Zak Krevitt can be found on his website. Thanks to his photo assistants Molly Matalon and Brendan Owens. Come back next week for a full-on BUTT Q&A with writer Travis Jeppesen.
