Justin ~ New York City, New York

From: Gay Bachelor Blog
I'm a native New Yorker. Raised in the Bronx and currently living in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan.

For nearly the past two years, I've been writing a blog called Naked in New York City. Despite what the title suggests, it's actually all about my search for love as a gay man in one of the most exciting cities in the world. The title of the blog is reflective of my writing style, which I consider to be "emotionally naked." There is nothing I am fearful of when it comes to writing about myself. I have a nice audience through Naked in New York City and that propelled me to write my first book, a memoir entitled Inside the Vortex. I consider it to be the prequel to Naked in New York City -- it's all about what my life was like before I began writing. I've had a pretty interesting ride and have worn many hats in one lifetime. So far, I've been a professional dancer, cocktail server, and a stripper! I have no idea what is in store for me in the future, but I'm exciting about the possibilities! I'm also looking forward to sharing my future experiences with a partner.

Since I have established myself as a writer, I need a man who is confident enough in himself not to be unnerved by that. The guy who will be my match will be someone who will laugh with me, and not at me. He will build me up and support my endeavors, as opposed to knocking me down. I've learned the hard way that challenges and games are best left in the sports arena, and they have no place in a relationship. I enjoy being social, but I don't define my life as a gay man by constantly being in the bars and clubs. My ideal mate wouldn't either. Most importantly, after everything I have been through, I still believe in monogamy and old-fashioned romance.
