June 7th is Kalamazoo Do-Dah Parade Day

Do-Dah Parade is part of June Jubilee, the official kick-off to summer in downtown Kalamazoo junejbilee.com

The Do-Dah Parade is downtown Kalamazoo's un-structured, un-proper and totally goofy parade. The first weekend in June is an event filled kick-off to summer known as June Jubilee, and the Do-Dah Parade is just one of many events packed into this lively weekend.

There are two ways to participate in Do‐Dah: a) unit based on a spoof or a satire of a person, place, event or thing; or b) an expression of Jubilee including outrageous costumes, art carts, and music! This is a family event and your unit is a reflection of your organization and participants – we trust it will be done in good taste.

Together with 103.3 WKFR, we are going to appoint a Parade King or Queen (the queen of parodies and just plain dumb stuff). With June Jubilee to guide your creative process….art, creativity, and regality should be lining the streets on June 7. Yah, Get your Do-Dah on for 2014!
