The Groovy List is a weekly Top 10 of recommended videos featuring pop culture
From: Deep Dish

1
Groovy Guy: Michael Parks
The actor, who died Tuesday at age 77, was best known for his television roles - the soul-searching Jim Bronson in the 1969-70 NBC drama, Then Came Bronson, black sheep Philip Colby on the second season (1986-87) of the ABC prime time soap opera, The Colbys, and the ruthless Jean Renault on the second season (1990-91) of the ABC series, Twin Peaks. He also appeared in many films, including Bus Riley's Back in Town (1965), The Bible: In the Beginning... (1966) as Adam, The Happening (1967), Hard Country (1981), The Return of Josey Wales (1986), Storyville (1992), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003), Kill Bill: Volume 2 (2004), Grindhouse (2007) and Argo (2012). Parks also sang "Long Lonesome Highway", the theme song for Then Came Bronson that reached #20 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and he recorded some record albums over the years. Below you can watch him in Then Came Bronson, The Colbys and on a 1970 episode of The Johnny Cash Show.

2
Groovy Guy: Stephen Colbert
My current favorite talk show host continues to be an amusing thorn in Donald Trump's side.

3
Groovy Gal: Debra Messing
The actress accepts GLAAD’s Excellence in Media Award at the 28th annual GLAAD Media Awards on May 6.

4
Groovy Duo: Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally
The married couple, whose new special, Summer of 69: No Apostrophe, will premiere on Epix on May 19, are guests on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

5
Groovy Gal: Goldie Hawn
The actress, whose first film in 15 years, Snatched, opened Friday, is a guest on The Late Late Show with James Corden (along with Kevin Bacon) and on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen (with her Snatched co-star Amy Schumer).

6
Groovy Gal: Michelle Pfeiffer
The actress, whose new HBO film, The Wizard of Lies, will air on May 20, is a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

7
Groovy Gal: Patti LuPone
The Tony Award-winning actress is a guest on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen (along with Christopher Meloni), and I agree with her about Rachel Bloom's CW series, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend - but I disagree with her about Madonna's performance in Evita (I liked her).

8
Groovy Guy: Andy Karl
The actor, who recently received a Tony Award nomination for his performance in the Broadway musical, Groundhog Day, is a guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

9
Groovy Guy: Kyle MacLachlan
The actor, whose new Showtime series, Twin Peaks, will premiere on May 21, is a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

10
Groovy Guy: Randy Rainbow
He stars in the new Orbitz commercial with Margaret Cho, Bianca del Rio and Miss Richfield 1981.
