Nyle DiMarco is using his platform to speak out against the Trump administration, namely the nomination of Betsy DeVos for Secretary of Education. The model took to twitter Wednesday night to urge his followers to call their representatives to vote against DeVos.

“How is it a threat & why I need your support? Basically DeVos advocates education reform policies that would undermine our public education,” he continued. “That means pulling taxpayer dollars out of public schools & directing these funds to private schools that lack accountability for IDEA law. IDEA is a federal law that requires schools to serve the educational needs of eligible students with disabilities. I went to Deaf schools. I explored mainstreamed schools. They were the best educational experiences. I thrived. IDEA law gave me OPTIONS. Now think of disabled children out there. Dont deprive them of their right to education CALL TO CONVINCE 1 MORE GOP.”

Nyle has consistently used his celebrity for good, advocating for those less fortunate than himself and speaking out on issues that are outside his circle. We could all learn a thing or two from him.
