Dance Troupe Vogues To Address The Problems Facing Black LGBT Americans

"It's important to me to let the world know we are living our lives."

Vogue teacher and prominent ballroom commentator Enyce Smith addresses some of the issues facing today’s LGBT and black communities in a new choreographed number featuring a handful of dancers moving to generate social change.

In a post on Facebook, Smith urged his communities to stay safe in the face of the racist, homophobic chokehold that currently has America by its neck:

“Out of all my project this one right here is the most important because as a gay black men and someone that’s apart of the LGBT community it’s important to me to let the world know we are living our lives and what we do don’t dictate your life. Also the police killing black men is getting out of line and yes black lives do matter. Remember y’all to keep praying for Orlando, protect yourself if your having sex, don’t judge a book by its cover and let’s all get alone.”
