Eric Bandholz, the founder of Beardbrand, made this very adorable about the gay sub-group, bears. An amazing attempt to be inclusive of all beardos out there.

Today we’re talking about the beardsmen who are part of the gay community.

Gentleman who are hairier and bearded are typically referred to as “bears”, which is an entire subculture unto itself. Bears even have clubs – similar to beard and mustache clubs – that will gather to put on events and celebrate their culture.

One of the cool things about gay culture that straight men and women miss out on are these terms. Terms like Ursula (a lesbian bear), Otter (a slimmer bear), Wolf (a slimmer bear that is more sexually aggressive), Panda Bear (an Asian bear) and many more.
