We recently created our own cocktail for our fourth birthday celebration, but it’s so good we’re sharing it again ready for your New Years Eve celebrations. Created by Bear World Magazine’s CEO, David Goodman, it’s a blend of vodka and the amazing blue sparkling wine, Blanc De Bleu.
I combined my two favorite champagne cocktails for inspiration, the classic champagne cocktail and the “Bolly Stolly” from Absolutely Fabulous!
The recipe is simple take a champagne flute or narrow tumbler, add a sugar cube, two dashes of bitters, one good shot of your favorite vodka (we love Absolut!), some shaved or crushed ice and top with Blanc de Bleu sparkling wine. Garnish with one or two frozen blueberries and you have our new cocktail, a “Polar Bear!”
The Blanc De Bleu blue sparkling wine makes it very unique and gives the cocktail a signature look that is hard to replicate. Blanc de Blue is actually a lovely sparkling wine on its own too.
