Residents of a peaceful neighborhood in Vestavia Hills, AL, a suburb outside of Birmingham, were terrorized on New Year’s Eve by a naked man wearing nothing but a rubber Ronald Reagan mask and a sock over his wiener.
Danielle and Bart Yancey were enjoying a quiet night at home when the man trespassed onto their property.
“I know a lot of people are laughing about it and, honestly, I got a chuckle from it later, but at the same time, it’s very concerning,” Danielle Yancey told AL.com. “I don’t know what he was planning on doing.”
Surveillance video captured the man tiptoeing up onto the Yancey’s breezeway, opening the gate and peeking through their windows.
“I don’t think he had a gun on him,” Yancey said — he was naked, after all — but she still found the incident “very scary” and hopes the man “never does it again.”
After he fled, Danielle posted the video of the “Nude Boy” along with a message to her neighbors on her Facebook page.
“This is the video of the Nude Boy coming into the back part of our house,” she warned. “He was wearing a mask and also a sock on his private part. Please be careful tonight, be aware of your surroundings and lock your doors!!”
Police were unable to find the culprit. They received another call later in the evening regarding a man running naked through the neighborhood.
“It was so cold outside,” Yancey said. “The police said he wouldn’t last long outside nude like that.”
