In the wake of the news that Donald Trump had won the Presidency over Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, many people began to feel a long list of emotions, anger chief among them. Lady Gaga, one of Hillary’s biggest supporters, channeled that anger into staging protest.
“I want to live in a Country of Kindness,” she said. “He divided us so carelessly. Let’s take care of each other now.”
The pop star held the protest right outside of Trump Tower, holding up a sign that read “Love Trumps Hate” on a sanitation truck.
“She has a career in politics that spans decades of experience, education, leadership, and wisdom. She’s ready to be president,” she said. “She kept going and she kept fighting for women’s rights. She kept fighting for the care of our children. She kept fighting for those that are in need.”

Earlier in the evening, Gaga posted a picture with #BlackLivesMatter activist DeRay, putting on a brave face in light of the election results.
