In an attempt to woo Florida’s LGBT voters, Hillary Clinton attended a Community for Unity rally at a gay nightclub in Wilton Manors, Florida.

The Sunday afternoon event was organized by the Hotspots Media Group with the Human Rights Campaign and AIDS Healthcare Foundation and saw the candidate discussing the importance of the LGBT community turning up to the polls on November 8.

“This election will determine whether we continue the progress we’ve made or let it be ripped away,” Clinton said. “We know Trump has promised that he’ll appoint Supreme Court justices who will overturn marriage equality and that he will repeal President Obama’s executive actions to protect LGBT people from discrimination.”

“Know we will then be able to protect LGBT Americans from discrimination in all aspects of our lives,” she continued. “We will work together to achieve an AIDS-free generation. We will take on homelessness, bullying and violence, particularly youth homelessness, which disproportionately hurts LGBT kids. And we’re going to end the harmful practice of so-called conversion therapy.”

The Democratic presidential nominee has been increasingly vocal about her desire to continue Obama’s fight for LGBT equality.

Earlier this month, she penned a moving op-ed for Philadelphia Gay News in which she vowed to combat workplace discrimination and blasted Mike Pence’s anti-LGBT track record as Governor of Indiana. The candidate has also held several LGBT campaign events with gay icon Cher.
