It was GRRRREEEAAAT!

For the first time in history Kellogg went purple in support of anti-bullying for Spirit Day on October 20—and they celebrated with a special event at the Kellogg’s cereal cafe in Times Square.

“At Kellogg, we firmly believe in equality and inclusion in the workplace, marketplace and communities. We have long been allies and supporters of LGBTQ employees, their families and the community,” said Mark King, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Office at Kellogg Company.

The company kicked off the morning with an in-store performance at the cereal cafe with America’s Got Talent contestant Brian Justin Crum, who was there to celebrate the annual day by singing a rousing cover of Michael Jackson’s “Man in the Mirror.”

“I grew up as an overweight gay kid and was bullied,” Crum told NewNowNext at the event. “And now that I did America’s Got Talent it’s become a huge platform for me to talk about anti-bullying and talk about my story and try to spread some love—and show some kids now that we all are human beings and we all need love and acceptance.”

Not only was Crum there but Tony the Tiger made an appearance—wearing a purple bandanna!—and there was even a special Spirit Day Bowl created for the day.
