After months of celebrity-filled casting announcements, NBC has finally released the first promo for its next TV musical event, Hairspray Live!
Earlier this week People gave us a sneak peek of Harvey Fierstein in full Edna Turnbladt drag and newcomer Maddie Baillio who plays Edna’s daughter, Tracy:
Now the new commercial shows us the star-studded cast in their ’60s Baltimore getups like Kristin Chenoweth as Miss Baltimore Crabs Velma Von Tussle, Jennifer Hudson as Motormouth Maybelle and King Cobra’s Garrett Clayton as Link Larkin.
Almost 30 years since the original Hairspray film proves that you really can’t stop the beat! Check out the first look below:
Hairspray Live! will air December 7 on NBC.
