Денис Михайлович Аблязин (Denis Mikhailovich Ablyazin) is a Russian artistic gymnast.
He has just taken the Silver Medal in Men's Vault in the 2016 Rio Olympics. The Gold Medal was taken by North Korean gymnast Ri Se-gwang and the Bronze Medal by Japanese Vaulter Kenzo Sherai Romanian Marian Drăgulescu, well known to readers of these pages, took fourth, although he had the exact points as the Bronze Medal winner....
Ablyazin was born on 3 August 1992 in Penza, Russia. Denis was the 2012 Olympics vault silver medalist, 2012 Olympics floor bronze medalist, two-time European vault champion, the 2014 European champion .
This year he also shares in the Silver Medal for the Men's All Around, and has taken the Bronze Medal for Rings.
