“True Life: We Are Orlando” Follows Survivors Of The Pulse Mass Shooting

 On Monday, August 15 MTV will air a special episode of True Life featuring four survivors of the deadly mass shooting at Orlando’s Pulse nightclub.

 True Life: We Are Orlando follows the survivors as they try to come to terms with the horrific event and the after-effects it has had on their lives. “The memory of the gunshots and screams keep me up at night,” says Joshua McGill during the special. “And when I finally do go to sleep, the events of that night keep replaying over and over again.”

During the True Life: We Are Orlando special, MTV will air a remembrance dedicated to the 49 victims of the attack as well as to the survivors. The tribute will feature the song “Hands,” with Britney Spears, Mary J Blige, Jennifer Lopez, Troye Sivan, RuPaul and more.

Aside from airing on MTV the special episode of True Life will also be available for free on the MTV app and MTV.com.
