"They took me to the interview room and kept asking questions about why I cam here," he said. "They took my phone and started scrolling through my Whatsapp conversations and pictures."

After detaining him and searching through his phone, security placed him under arrest and proceeded to ask him if he was a man or a woman.

He was forced to stay in jail for two months while his lawyer worked effortlessly to get him back to Poland. He was eventually released and had to pay a fine of QAR 15,000 (which in USD is $4,100). Upon receiving the offer to work with the police to lure more gay men in hopes of getting them arrested, Luxy refused.

"After the paperwork was done, they gave me the option to stay or be deported. I chose to stay and left as soon as possible on my own," he said. While he wasn't given a blocked exit by the judge, Luxy is still banned from from entering any and all Gulf countries. Doing so would lead to an immediate arrest.
