World Monuments Light Up In Rainbow Colors As Tribute To Orlando Victims

We are #OrlandoUnited.
From: New NowNext
Last Monday night, monuments and government buildings around the world lit up with the colors of the rainbow in support of the LGBT community and the victims of the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history — a massacre that unfolded at Pulse gay nightclub in Orlando, where 49 people were murdered and 53 were wounded.

In Orlando, a number of commercial buildings lit up the skyline with rainbow colors, but the Orlando Eye was most impressive:
In New York City, the spiral atop One World Trade was lit up in rainbow…

…while the Empire State Building went completely dark:

Downtown, City Hall was lit up in rainbow as well:

In Paris, the Eiffel Tower:

Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai tweeted a photo of City Hall lit up in rainbow:

He wrote: “In solidarity with #Orlando #TelAviv City Hall is lit up with the #USA flag and the flag of the #LGBTQ community.”

Toronto also stood in solidarity with a rainbow flag:

Buildings also lit up across Australia.

In Sydney, the Town Hall displayed a rainbow flag at half-mast while the building was drenched in pink:

Sydney Harbour Bridge was also lit up:

As was Melbourne Town Hall:

In Perth, the Council House was rainbow:

In New Zealand, the Sky Tower went rainbow. A caption on Facebook reads “Tonight we’re lit for love to show our support for Orlando.”

And across America, countless landmarks and government buildings were bathed in rainbow as well.

In Minneapolis, the 35W Bridge and the Lowry Avenue Bridge:

Nashville City Hall:

The Dallas skyline:

In San Francisco, City Hall was sporting a full rainbow-colored wraparound:

And in Kansas City, Union Station and the Bond Bridge were also sporting colors of the LGBTQ community:
