On June 25, Logo will honor the victims of the mass shooting in Orlando with a day of programming leading into Trailblazer Honors.

Airing on both Logo and VH1, this year’s Trailblazer special will feature celebrity messages of support, performances dedicated to those we lost, and on-the-ground coverage from Orlando. It will follow “We are Orlando,” a day of LGBT-themed films, documentaries and moments dedicated to the pride and resilience of our community.

“We Are Orlando” will include a rebroadcast of Out of Iraq, the Logo documentary chronicling two Iraqi soldiers who fell in love and had their relationship ripped apart during the Iraq War.

“Logo’s Trailblazer Honors and ’We Are Orlando’ programming will spotlight the emotional stories of resilience within the LGBT community in an incredibly powerful way,” said Chris McCarthy, President of VH1 and Logo.

“By dedicating a day of remembrance and the largest televised LGBT Pride event to the victims of the Orlando shooting, we illuminate the importance of LGBT visibility at this crucial time.”

Honorees at this year’s Trailblazer event include Harvey Fierstein and the Advocate magazine, as well as Subhi Nahas, a gay Syrian refugee who fled his homeland after being threatened with death.

In 2015, Nahas became the first person to present testimony to the United Nations Security Council regarding ISIS persecution of LGBT Iraqis and Syrians. He was granted asylum in the United States, where he now works to help other LGBT people in the Middle East earn refugee status in the West. Later this month he will serve as grand marshal at the New York City LGBT Pride March.

Additional honorees and details about the tribute to Orlando will be announced soon.

Trailblazer Honors airs June 25 at 8/7c on Logo and VH1.
