A young iPhone thief made a serious blunder when he revealed his identity to police via a selfie he accidentally uploaded to his victim’s iCloud.
After snagging the iPhone from an unsuspecting 30-year-old woman on a late night Manhattan-bound L train last week, the thief, who police suspect is in his 20s, proceeded to take a few celebratory bathroom selfie shots. Unbeknownst to him, they were uploaded to the Cloud for both the victim and the police to see.
According to the official report, police are clocking the thief in at 5’7″ and 160 lbs. According to eye-witness reports, he was wearing a gray hoodie and camouflage pants when he stole the phone.
