A cyclist was tackled by members of the NYPD Wednesday when he mindlessly rode right into President Obama’s motorcade.
Daniel Provenico, 59, had “Call Me Maybe” pumping on his headphones and was heading over to a blind date—which might help explain why he failed to notice police telling him to turn around. (Although New Yorkers can be pretty oblivious, TBH.)
The Daily News questioned the police’s use of force, but New Yorkers also know that there’s no messing about when POTUS is in town.
Provenico, who was issued a summons for disorderly conduct, says he met his Prince Charming on a dating site that night, but declined to specify which one.
Sadly, his hook-up lost interest after the incident caused him to be hours late. “Manhattan men are huge on punctuality,” Provenico told TMZ.
