Peter had his greatest songwriting success in 1981 with “Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do)”, which hit #1 for Christopher Cross, and won the Academy Award. Here are Peter and his collaborators accepting the Oscar, presented in one of the iconic Oscar moments by Bette Midler.



Peter released the album Not The Boy Next Doorin 1983, and it would be his last charting studio album. The single “You Haven’t Heard The Last Of Me” was his highest charting single on any U.S chart, peaking at #15 on the AC chart.
