“Transparent,” Viola Davis Are Highlights Of The 2015 Emmy Awards: Full List

Viola Davis makes history
From: NewNowNext
The 67th Emmy Awards were announced last night, and the usual suspects won again: Tony Hale, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Allison Janney repeated last year’s wins, but there were actually some surprises.

Uzo Aduba won for Supporting Drama Actress for Orange Is The New Black, becoming only the second performer in Emmy history (after Ed Asner) to win in two separate categories (drama and comedy) for the same role.

Speaking of history, Jeffrey Tambor picked up his first Emmy for playing transgender character Maura on Transparent, and Viola Davis became the first black woman in Emmy history to win for Lead Drama Actress for How To Get Away With Murder, and gave the speech of the night.
