The Trials Of Rosie O’Neill
“I’m thinking about maybe getting my tits done.” That opening line caused a firestorm of controversy when The Trials of Rosie O’Neill debuted on CBS (September 17, 1990 – November 15, 1991). Sharon Gless, in her first series since the iconic Cagney & Lacey ended, played the title character, a lawyer in the L.A. Public Defender’s Office. While battling the D.A., she was also working her way through a very messy divorce. The show also featured the gorgeous opening song “I Wish I Knew,” written by Carole King and performed by Melissa Manchester.
