Billy Campbell in “The Outrageous Okona”

Episode 2.4 After he played Luke on Dynasty, but before The Rocketeer and Tales Of The City, indeed, before he was “Billy Campbell,” William O. Campbell starred in “The Outrageous Okona”, a typically terrible episode of Season Two.

Billy played Thadiun Okona, a rogue on the run, accused by two warring families of misdeeds. Okona was smug, cocksure, and perpetually horny (he’s beamed aboard by a nubile Teri Hatcher, and in the very next scene, is … entering her quarters), and Billy oozes hot sleaze in this role. He saves the episode, which is most infamous for the subplot of Data trying to learn about humor … from a holographic Joe Piscopo.

Trivia: Billy was cast as Will Riker on TNG, but one of the producers didn’t like him, so he was replaced by Jonathan Frakes.
