Astronomy Day is a world-wide event observed each spring and fall. The next Astronomy Day this year is September 19, 2015; Astronomy Day next spring will be May 14, 2016. Local astronomical societies, planetariums, museums, and observatories will be sponsoring public viewing sessions, presentations, workshops, and other activities to increase public awareness about astronomy and our wonderful universe.
