September 12th is National Hollerin' Day

Make your way to Spivey's Corner, "The Crossroads of the World," & and home of the National Hollerin' Contest for the Third Annual Hollerin' Heritage Festival, Saturday, September 12, 2015.

Each year we revive the "almost lost" art of Hollerin' and seek to preserve our distinct cultural, historical, & agricultural heritage. We are pleased to announce that this year's event will feature a BBQ Cook-Off officially sanctioned by the North Carolina Pork Council.

Please join us for a fun filled day that will include live music, great food, antique farm equipment displays & demonstrations, living history exhibits, a classic car show, a kids entertainment zone, vendors, and the 46th Annual National Hollerin' Contest.

Lawn chairs, blankets & and "sunbrellas" are welcome. No coolers please.

Admission is $5.00 per person. Kids 12 and under are admitted for free.

For more information on all Hollerin' Heritage Festival Events please see our SCHEDULE page.

All proceeds from this event will go to the Spivey’s Corner Volunteer Fire Department. The fire department is made up of volunteers who put their life on the line for their community. The monies raised from this event will help to purchase needed equipment, maintain current equipment, and give the fire department the means necessary to better protect their community.
