President Obama has nominated the first openly gay person as Secretary of the Army. Eric Fanning's selection has already drawn the ire of Stone Ager Mike Huckabee, who had the temerity to say, “Homosexuality is not a job qualification.”
Right, and neither is heterosexuality. Why is it that when a minority gets a great job, so many in the majority immediately zero in on their minority status as the deciding factor, but nobody ever questions the qualifications of those in the majority with great jobs?
