Cybill

Airing on CBS from January 2, 1995 – July 13, 1998, Cybill was another success for Cybill Shepherd after her comeback in Moonlighting. And like that show, she had to watch a relative TV unknown steal her thunder. Christine Baranski played Patsy to Cybill’s Edina, as struggling actress Cybill Sheridan coped with middle age and an insane family, but it was Christine who got the most notice (and an Emmy), which must have rankled Cybill after watching the same thing happen to Bruce Willis.

The intro was just perfect, as Cybill sings “Nice work if you can get it,” as we see the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, with Cybill (the character)’s name scrawled in chalk.
