 Brando's great contribution to the screen was his rigorous Method, which made all of his performances crackle with intensity, whether he was playing a brute who uses women against their will, unconvincingly summoning up a historical figure or embodying an aging sexpot still capable of talking chicks into taking it up the ass with the aid of a little butter. Not only was he one of history's greatest, most influential screen actors, he was sexy in nearly every role he took until his lusty indulgence in the pleasures of eating changed him from sex object to object of derision.
