Coming a day after news that Josh Duggar had checked himself into a long-term rehabilitation program, a source close to Anna Duggar tells People magazine her family is “even a little more extreme” than the anti-gay reality television clan.
“Anna and her siblings were always taught that if you follow these 10 steps or whatever, God would bless you,” says the source, who adds the parents “always taught their kids that divorce was never an option.”
Anna and Josh met at a Christian homeschooling convention in 2006. The source says that despite her fundamentalist upbringing, Anna was still “really fun” growing up, although Anna has now started to emulate Michelle Duggar’s mannerisms after marrying Josh.
“She talks like her, real soft. She, like, whispers,” says the source.
