You’ll Never Guess What’s Different About The Iranian Version Of “Modern Family”

From: NewNowNext
Watch a few moments of the Iranian dramedy Haft Sang and it might start to look familiar. That’s because the show is practically a frame-for-frame, line-for-line copy of ABC’s Modern Family.

Only without Mitch or Cam—or any mention of homosexuality at all. (And no talk of premarital sex, either)

The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting TV channel has found a winner with the bootleg show, whose name, Haft Sang, or “Seven Stones” refers to a popular Middle Eastern game.  But producers are more concerned with state censors that international copyright laws, so Mitch and Cam become a straight couple.
