The faboo Aimee Mann and company released one of the greatest pop songs of 1985 in March, and watched it climb the chart to its peak of #8 in July. It’s still just as compelling almost 30 years later. The band was never able to reach the commercial heights of “Voices Carry” again, but their next album Welcome Home was one of my favorites of the 80′s.

Tomorrow’s clue – It was the longest running #1 song by an 80′s lady that wasn't titled “Physical.”
