THE SHEPHERD

Photography by Rob Star
Out at the Golden Rabbit Ranch in California, the shepherd takes the beast out for some fresh air. He’s fed the sheep once this morning, and will again in the evening, further afield for open grazing. Sheep are easy to be with for the most part, except maybe the ram, Barry White. Rob observed him sniffing ass, and by the end of spring, he’ll have gotten all the ewes pregnant.

Shepherding is just one of the chores Rob faces on the farm. There are lambs to nurse, eggs to gather, wood to chop and fences to build too. Out there, the moon shines so bright, you can even juice-up your solar panels at night. No lie!
