The 20 Worst Songs Of The 70′s and 80′s!

“Last Game Of The Season (Blind Man In The Bleachers)”
David Geddes

One of the musical genres that was perfected during the 70′s was the “story song.” Smash hits like “The Night The Lights Went In Georgia,” and “Angie Baby” were Lifetime movies told in 4 minutes, but a lot of them were cringe-inducing, and you’ll see a few on this list. David Geddes had a huge hit in 1975 with one of those story songs, “Run Joey Run,” (which would be covered on Glee), but that song is not on this list. But David’s follow-up cannot be ignored. “Last Game Of The Season (Blind Man In The Bleachers)” went to #18 in 1975, and it’s just … too much. Look, I can endure emotional manipulation as well as anyone (just ask my ex), but the ending of “Last Game Of The Season (Blind Man In The Bleachers)” is just … too much. It’s just too much.

Too much

  1. Oh man! I love story songs too (My favorite being Spanish Train by Chris de Burgh) but you're right, this one's pretty bad! Thank for posting this, it put a smile on my face this morning
