Kenneth Howard "Ken" Norton, Sr. (August 9, 1943 – September 18, 2013) was an American heavyweight boxer. He is a former WBC world heavyweight champion. Norton fought in one of the strongest heavyweight boxing scenes in history. He fought many top fighters during his career. Norton was known for his unconventional cross-arm style defense, which made him an awkward and frustrating opponent to face. He is most famous for his trilogy of fights with Muhammad Ali and for his classic battle with Larry Holmes. He defeated Ali in their first bout by twelve round split-decision, a fight in which Norton famously broke Ali's jaw. The fight was later dubbed "The Jawbreaker".

He died at a care facility in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 18, 2013 at the age of 70.
