Still fairly new to the DC Metro - As hard as it was to leave the daily ability to interact in person with the friendships built during 11 years in my last city, I found a challenging, over-whelming, invigorating new job -- and I'm loving every minute of it. I've been fortunate to live all over, having grown up in the south/midwest (Louisville, KY) - and with time spent in New Orleans, NYC/Philly, Los Angeles, and Urbana-Champaign, Illinois. Very different places, and very different jobs at each that have provided a pretty amazing set of experiences to paint the canvas of my 43 years. I'm at a great place in life professionally and personally, looking to meet good men for friendship - and more if that develops.
The "self analysis", for what it's worth (perspective is everything): Masculine, professional, normal, relatively sane man. A bit of a dag, if you speak Aussie slang.
In my spare time, I read, workout (teach spinning several times a week), watch a little TV, take in a game/small concert, and hang with friends. I work hard at the day gig, and the side gigs I only do because I enjoy them. My spare time is spent staying connected with the people who are important in my life and/or decompressing.
So who do I ultimately want to meet? Someone to have those magic airport moments with (thank you, "Eli Stone").... and to come home to and look forward to brushing my teeth with at night. Basically, similar people, who are also drug-free zones... for conversation, hanging out, and friendship that could lead to more. You can also follow me on Twitter @zanewicz
