Most people came to appreciate John through his wonderful performance as the irrepressible omni-sexual Captain Jack Harkness on the BBC’s Doctor Who and the spin-off Torchwood. He’s also a successful singer, stage actor and author. His recent stint on the CW’s Arrow proved he could make us love him even when he was scaring the crap out of us.
